Dear Tom,

My name is Andrew Conroy and I would like to personally thank you for the education I received at Pacific Audio Visual Institute. After completing the Audio Engineering & Production program, I felt confident with the training I received to enter the recording industry confidently and professionally. Fresh off the program, I worked with numerous local unsigned bands to further develop my skills and gain practical experience in the field. However, my biggest break came when I was given the opportunity to engineer some recordings for 604 records artist Mariana Trench.

These recordings would end up on the band's sophomore album, Masterpiece Theatre. During the recording process, I worked alongside some of Canada's top producers, including Grieg Nori, Dave Genn, and Josh Ramsay. Never once did I feel overwhelmed, since PAVI equipped me with the skills necessary to work efficiently with platinum-selling producers.

Masterpiece Theatre was released in February 2009, and just over a year later, the album has been certified Gold by the Canadian Recording Industry Association and has had three Top Ten singles. It was quite the thrill to receive my first Gold record, and I must thank PAVI for preparing me with the knowledge and skills required to achieve this. Everything from proper microphone placement and the use of outboard gear, to acting professionally in a studio setting, I learned at Pacific Audio Visual Institute.
