The Right Place For My New Start

Game Design & 3D Animation Program |
Prior to PAVI, I took a major in Management Information Systems in University. After graduating, I worked as a system and network engineer but it did not fit me. I thought a lot and realized that my real interest was the same as when I was young: colorful pictures, moving objects, interesting toy cars, and music. I think that is Game & Animation. After searching the internet and hearing some friends’ suggestions, PAVI is the perfect place for a beginner like me who wants to step into gaming or 3D animation’s fantasy world.
It was the right place for me to learn all the essential skills and knowledge for entering the game industry and animation studio. I had no experience with 3D art before applying to this program. I was kind of worried and a bit afraid about learning something totally different. But I was relieved after the program started. PAVI’s instructors were really professional and patient with all students. I didn’t worry if I asked some simple or stupid questions; on the contrary, they guided us to resolve the problems. Furthermore, they taught us lots of useful techniques and sometimes brought us some helpful extra reference pictures, videos, or any recent news in the industry. I love the small classes in PAVI, it lets teachers have more time to take care of each student for a one on one teaching.
| Not only the awesome instructors in PAVI, but the affordable tuition helped me a lot. Money means a lot for students, especially for international students like me. The fair tuition let me have spare money to experience the beautiful Vancouver life. Back to PAVI, they provided students with great computers; equipment and materials to make sure there was quality learning time in class. Besides, no matter how long you’ve graduated from PAVI, they still take care and send the email to inform graduates if there’s any related job posting. |

After the one year program and a short time looking for jobs, I started to work at CGCG Inc. as a 3D modeler. I used basically the skills which I learned in PAVI every day, such as MAYA, ZBrush, and Photoshop. Of course there is always new software which we need to learn to help us modeling or in some other parts of work.
I’m really happy with the time learning in PAVI. It’s indeed the right place for students who want a brand new start in a different gaming or animating work field. I got the essential skills for work in PAVI. The experience in PAVI helps me to have the correct attitude and basis of knowledge to face all the challenges at work in the future. I’m proud of being one of PAVI.
